My beloved poets and supporters,

It pains my heart to write this, but I am an open and honest person, and my respect for each of you will not allow me to do otherwise. First, allow me to apologize for becoming ill, and in doing so, this project was put on the shelf. I am feeling so much better and am very determined to complete the project. It’s a hard job for one person. But it will be done!

In compiling the Acrostic Poems for publication, I realized one thing --- a lot of the poems written and submitted are not up to par, as they were some of the first ones you had written, and it was all about learning how to write them, and doing so in a creative way. Therefore many of them are not publishable.

Today, after reading some of the acrostics written by you and the new acrostic writers, I must say, I am amazed at so much talent! It would not be fair to not have an Anthology that represents the best acrostics available from the participants here at Acrostic Only .… and this is why I am opening up submission again. Hopefully you all will participate and enter some of your amazing poetry to be published in our first Anthology.

Poets whose poems are chosen for inclusion in this anthology will keep the copyrights to their poems. There will be no financial restitution given for poems, nor will there be a fee for including poems in the Acrostic Only Anthology. This is a non-profit venture that is being set up to honor the poets who participant in the Acrostic Only Meme.
